My grandfather Silvestro DiMartino immigrated to the US from Ragusa, Ragusa, Sicily. I am looking for links to these families:

Silvestro's father = Mario DiMartino, born 26 Feb 1865 Mario's father = Silvestro DiMartino, born ~ 1821 I am looking for Mario's father Silvestro, but cannot find him in the Ragusa records -- he may have been born in another city or smaller town & gone to Ragusa in search of work . . . anyone have a link? Mario's mother = Maria Gurrieri, born 13 Jan 1828 Maria's father = Carmelo Gurrieri, born ~1801 Maria's mother = Carmela Schembari, born ~1803 Silvestro's mother = Rosa Lalicata, born 13 Jan 1873 Rosa's father = Giovanni Lalicata, born 29 Sep 1845 Giovanni's father = Giuseppe Lalicata, born ~1808 Giovanni's mother = Rosa Rugolliero/Rusolliero, born ~1815 I can't read the writing -- is anyone familiar with this name? Rosa's mother = Carmela LaCognata, born ~1826 Carmela's father = Giovanni LaCognata, born ~1826 I lose this name in Ragusa at this time; it is possible that they moved to Ragusa from Santa Croce -- Any links? Carmela's mother = Giovanna Migliorisi, born ~1830

I would love to fill in the brothers and sisters of these people, as well as go back more generations. Can anyone help?

Thank you,

Lise DiMartino lised@synopsys.com
